Info: Johnny Wu MDI (Media Design Imaging, Inc.), a Cleveland-based commercial film and video production house made the final edits on their first completed John Doe Projects short. The John Doe Project is a collaboration between MDI and Canton-based Blindganger Films. The premise for the series of shorts, twelve in all, follows John Doe; a modern day everyman who mysteriously appears in different situations, environments, and as a different persona but always as John Doe. Series creators Greg Petusky, Johnny Wu, Patti Moser and Marc Moser, Mr. John Doe himself, envisioned each individual installment as an exploration into the human condition. A social experiment that sheds light on what motivates and drives us. The finished product John Doe's The Vigilante was written and directed by Johnny Wu, with score composed by Oberlin College student Joel Corelitz. The Vigilante is available for download (currently for brodband users only) at the project website, www.johndoeshorts.com. The next short, written by Johnny Wu, will be directed by MDI's Shawn Wickens entitled A Business Day. A Business Day will commence production in late May or early June 2001. The John Doe releases will be readied for entry into local and national film festivals. Stay tuned for information regarding a public screening of John Doe's The Vigilante later this summer. Media
