Media Design Imaging wins two Pixie Awards Platinum under Visual Effects and Fun Project Categories for their independent webseries T.R.A.C.E. A Doctor Who Fan Film.
Director Johnny Wu’s latest self-imposed-challenge film project has once again, like many of his previous films, winning awards and screening worldwide at festivals and conventions!
Principle photography for T.R.A.C.E. A Doctor Who Fan Film Webisode Season 1 was completed in Nov 2014, and now it is in post production phase. The filmmaker recently released a teaser trailer for Episode 2-7 that has garnered worldwide attention including MoviePilot.com’s “Look epic! Sweet Effects and Fight Scenes…” comments. T.R.A.C.E.’s Episode 1 won 2 Pixie Awards under Visual Effects and Fun Project categories. The Pixie Awards is sponsored by the American Pixel Academy, founded in 2008 by David E. Carter, also the founder of the Telly® Awards and American Corporate Identity, and editor of the Creativity Annual. The mission of The Pixie Awards is to honor and promote outstanding individual work in Motion Graphics, Visual Effects and Animation. The Pixie statuette is over 12 inches tall, and weighs roughly 3 pounds. It is manufactured with care by the same company that produces statuettes for the Golden Globes, the American Music Awards, and the American Film Institute.
T.R.A.C.E. A Doctor Who Fan Film is a webseries that mixes the Asian martial arts with European’s Who storyline, a sci-fi story based on the 10th Doctor Who journey, more information is available at www.facebook.com/tracethedoctor.
