Local Filmmakers On Panel to talk about Making Fan Films at the Wizard World Comic Con Cleveland 2015
(Cleveland, 2.1.2015) Cleveland’s own Award Winning Filmmakers will be presenting a panel discussion on “Making Fan Films and How To Do It Right” at the first Wizard World Comic Con Cleveland 2015 held on February 20-22, 2015 at the Cleveland Convention Center.
Considered as one of the successful filmmakers in Cleveland, Johnny Wu will bring his expertise in movie making to Cleveland’s first Wizard World Comic Con along with panel of director/writer/producer, an intellectual attorney, fight choreographer, and casting director/actor to talk about the process of making a fan film and resources available.
Wu has been making movies since 1989 – with several of his films distributed worldwide while all of them has won award and shown at film festivals and conventions. Wu has made several fan films since 2004 starting with A Joker’s Card, an award winning parody short film about the off springs of DC Comics’ villains and superheroes; and continued his winning streak with S: A Superman Fan Film which pays homage of the Man of Steel as was born in Cleveland; to his latest T.R.A.C.E. – A Doctor Who Fan Film Webisodes. http://www.facebook.com/tracethedoctor (or check out the teaser trailer at http://bit.ly/traceteaser)
“It was an honor to be asked to hold a panel,” said Wu, “Cleveland has many talents and anyone can make great films, we did it, and so can any one of the attendees. Not only you go there to meet with Hollywood’s talent, now you get to see how locally, anything is possible with a passion.”
In addition to hosting a panel with his peers, Wu and his Crew will have a 3-booths space area to showcase some of their props and design, including a Tardis, the Inside Control Unit of the Tardis, Weeping Angels, a moving Dalek and many more during the entire weekend of the Wizard World Comic Con Cleveland 2015.
