To help increase skills in filmmaking, MDI has been sponsoring the J-Crew group to further their learning, for the 3rd time, this year at the Summer Cleveland 48hr Film Project, the idea behind this is to have each crew held a responsibility for 2 of the 48hrs process so they would learn every aspect of filmmaking.
This year’s director picked the genre of Comedy and Time Travel, with script finished on Friday late night (Midnight) and Saturday 9.5 hours shooting in 10 locations, we still managed to deliver the finished film on time and be the first to turn in, 3rd time!
Here’s our J-Crew’s “Catch Them All” short film we did for the Cleveland 48 Hour Film Project. As a sponsor. I am not allowed to compete so we did it as exhibition. 10 locations in 9.5hrs. Fun! In addition to the genre, props, character and lines that must be in. I also challenged the team prior to getting the genres to use an inflatable T-Rex and Panda in the story regardless of genre. Very proud of the team. One of the reason we continue to support 48hr film project is to also help challenges our crew in different aspect of filmmaking. We rotate crew positions so each would learn to understand the different responsibilities. #CLE48HFP #48HFP#ThisIsCLE #FilmInCLE #JCrewFilm #CatchThemAll
