Came-mini 2 – Tool-Less Mirrorless gimbal

July 01, 2015 Articles , 0

We recently received our unit and after a bit of testing, it is now our favorite mini-gimbal right along side Moza’s heavier version. The Came-Mini 2 is a tool-less gimbal that does the job when using it with a Gh4 or a A7s, it’s goal is to be used as a basic run and gun gimbal that you aren’t planning to switch lenses between, however, even if you plan to use it with several lenses, you can easily balancing it due to it’s tool-less design.

We are really enjoying it and have been using it nonstop. The package comes with a soft-case and a stand (as of 6/20, they are redesigning the stand to fit the gimbal better).

This gimbal total hold weight is limited, so you probably can’t run with a Canon 70D or 5D3. The total weight should be tried within around 2.2lbs and it would do a great job.

As for profiles, when we first receive ours, we didn’t have the different options explained in the manual (yes, it even come with one!), and so we went into the GUI (using the 32bit Alexmos based software, you can go into the settings, turn it on under services and viola! It’s working as a charm).

We have 3 people testing it and they all enjoyed the versatility and the ease of use, the most we have tested the gimbal with was with the Gh4 and a 17.5mm voigtlander lens, which almost came to 3lbs and it was doing good normal and inverted mode.
